Do you Remember?
Do you remember those days when you were little and
innocent? Those days when your eyes shone with a radiance that could not
diminish? Those days when you were so dynamic and dreamt of taking on the
world? Those days when your indomitable spirit could achieve whatever you
desire and deserve? Those days when you were so valiant and unafraid? Unafraid
of what might happen. Unafraid to confront the consequences of your actions. Unafraid
of not fulfilling the expectations of the society. Unafraid of people who might
judge you for what you believe.
Do you remember those days when failing to write an ‘A’ made
you write it down a million times until you got it correct? Do you remember
those days when you would never give up on yourself? When you would run around
fearlessly in the rains feeling each drop on your face? When you didn’t stop
making paper boats once a strong wave washed it away?
Do you remember yourself before life took its toll on you?
Before your practical brains dislodged your heartbeat? Before your fear of
failure and judgment snatched your capabilities? Before the beauty of uncertainty
turned into a nightmare? Before years added to your age but subtracted life out
of it?
Have you given up on your childhood dream of becoming a
painter? Or the dream of carving a life form out of grains of sand? Or maybe the
dream of becoming an astronaut?
Life is a given and nothing stops you from reaching out for
that extra mile. It is never too late, you are never too old. Only too lazy or
too afraid! But isn’t that overcome by willpower?
Think yourself!!!
