Summer is Coming!!

The white canvas started turning green, that was her cue. “Summer is coming,” she exclaimed. It was as if happiness knocked on her doorstep after a long haul of gloomy and cold Wednesdays. She could feel the sun, the warmth of its embrace, the cold numbness of her thoughts leaving her body. It was surreal, she thought. How nothing in the world is permanent! Neither the cold shoulders nor the warm smiles. It all changes like dewdrops on Delilah’s or the moonshine on sea waves. 

She wondered about hunger, the dilemma and her tears. She smiled with her eyes closed and wondered whether the tears were worth the cry? Winters are for hope and summers for optimism, she thought. One changes to another, stuck in the perpetual loop of life. Yet we know that hope helps us weather all storms and survive all waves. She opened her eyes to the sunshine of hope and realized it was totally worth it. Life, Love and above all Hope.
